Are these items made to order?

Yes — every HappyLayerMint piece is 3D printed by hand in Malta once your order comes in. Nothing sits in a warehouse. Each item is printed fresh for you, inspected, and packed with care.

What material are the products made from?

Most pieces are printed in PLA or PETG — plant-based or engineering-grade plastics that are among the more eco-friendly 3D printing materials. The specific filament for each product is listed in its description.

Why can I see faint layer lines on my item?

Fine layer lines and minor surface variations are a natural, characterful part of 3D printing. They don't affect the function or durability of your piece — they're what make each one slightly unique and hand-made.

Do you offer custom colours or sizes?

Yes. If you'd like a specific colour, a bespoke size, or a larger quantity for an event or business, get in touch before ordering and we'll confirm what's available.

How long until my order ships?

Most items are printed and dispatched within 3–5 working days. Larger or multi-part pieces (such as shelf sets) may take a little longer. You'll receive a shipping confirmation once your order is on its way.

Can I cancel or change my order?

Because printing begins shortly after your order is placed, we can only cancel or change orders within 24 hours of purchase. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make a change.

Do you offer bulk or business orders?

Yes — we're happy to discuss larger quantities for events, offices, hospitality or resale. Send us a message with your requirements and we'll put together a quote.

Where do you ship?

We ship within Malta and across the EU. Shipping options, costs and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout.

How will my order be packaged?

Every item is carefully inspected and packed securely before dispatch to make sure it arrives in perfect condition.

What is your returns policy?

Because every item is made to order, we're unable to accept returns for change of mind. Under EU consumer law, personalised and made-to-order goods are exempt from the standard 14-day withdrawal right. Please check the listing carefully — including dimensions, material and colour — before ordering.

What if my item arrives damaged or faulty?

If anything arrives damaged, defective, or not as described, please contact us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos. We'll arrange a replacement, repair or refund at no cost to you.

How do I care for my item?

Wipe clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse in water or put items in the dishwasher, microwave or oven. Keep pieces away from strong heat, open flames and prolonged direct sunlight.

Are the products food-safe?

Our items are not intended for direct contact with unpackaged food. For products like the cake stand, always use a plate, cake board or food-safe liner between your food and the printed surface.
